Lubee, since you have a drum carder, you should try your own hand at ugly batts.

I keep what ever comes off my licker in drum and big drum from each of my batt makings in a bag.  When ever I get a few oz, I card them all together.  It's cooL!
i have actually been re blending my ugly batts with my carder.
i will have to upload some pics when i am done with the batts and the yarn.

I broke down and ordered a couple yesterday.  When it comes down to it- you just can't beat all that fiber for 10 bucks.

I'm giving one of the batts to my husband, who is just learning to spin.  I might need to reprocess the batts a little, from what I've read, but I think he's pretty excited to start his own stash with a ginormous ugly batt.

heck no!

haha, I'm open to all sorts of trades, but not hubster swaps!   Just the other day, he said "Keep on spinning, I'll clean up the house."  I'm thinking, "huh?!?"  The fella thinks spinning is cute.

Hubb doesn't often say, keep (insert what ever craft I'm working on) I'll go clean the kitchen. He has said it though. ^-^

My Paul isn't interested in learning to spin, but he totally supports my fiber habit!  (building me a picker, buying 2 of my wheels, drum carder & the jumbo kit for my traveller)

I'd love to show off my latest ugly batt, but it's for the FOM swap with hobbledehoy and I'm sure she'd look.

I changed my mind, I'll give her a tease.

Here's just a couple inches of it:
