24 hours before my daughter's end of year party (preschool) I decided to make her teachers gifts.  She has 3 teachers, plus one that subbed a bunch this year (so 4 teachers total).  It was so last minute because I wasn't sure I wanted to make them something.  I knitted washclothes for them for Christmas and didn't even get a thank you.  But I didn't want that to stop me from continuing to make gifts.
I also decided to make one for my son's kindergarten teacher.
Each bag is made from 2 fat quarters (dd picked out the fabrics), and the flower on the outside matches the lining fabric.  Just a basic tote shape.  I think I used the Jordy way for the bottom.  I've been reading here so long that I've picked up tons of hints here and there.  They look a little wrinkly, but they ironed out nicely.  This time all the teachers were so appreciative.  Smiley   (Sorry the pics are so big!)

Those are great! Don't you just hate that? Making something and not even getting a "thanks" when that's all you want? Lucky teachers....

L: "Don't leave your dirty package on the table."
C: "If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that..."

I WIST I had all these super cool things!

See you in the clouds, sweet little Jackson.

The dirty little ingrates didn't thank you for the washcloths!  Shocked

My husband thanks his students for all gifts, even the Felcidades Maestra coffee mug. I'm like  "Did you know they gave you a girl coffee mug?" He says "Yeah. but it's the thought that counts." Me "Yeah, they thought dumb old Coach's spanish was so bad he didn't know it was a girl mug or that you're a girly man."  Grin

Those ARE adorable bags! They are super lucky to get a beautiful handmade gift from you!
I know all about people not appreciating the time and thought that goes into a handmade gift! Unfortunately those people don't receive nice gifts from me anymore, even if they make a request!!
