Not sure this is in the correct place but these things are for INSIDE not in the garden so I put them here.

A few years ago I made loads of stuff out of leaves, pine needles and twigs. The college project said use only natural stuff so I took that to mean no glue or string etc.
I made collages by using patchwork quilt techniques btu sadly have no fotos but I also made loads of 3D stuff. I used pine needles to 'stitch' the leaves together and the twigs I simply pierced one through the other and then I also used horse TAIL hairs which are sort of springy/elastic to construct the forms.
anyhow here are some fotos. Its a great thing to do with kids because all the stuff is free in autumn/fall and when these forms dry they retain their form and colours. BUT THEY DO BECOME VERY FRAGILE SO NEED TO BE HUNG HIGH UP OUT OF THE WAY.

fotos are blurred cos they are fotos of fotos. check my slideshow for a few more pics

WOW Shocked well spotted. I LOOOOVE the work of Andy Goldsworthy and was totally inspired by the fact that he arrives at a place and uses the stuff that is naturally available there. NO ADDED GLUE!! Grin

Great composites.  They almost look like something that could get up and walk away.

Goldsworthy is one of my two favourite artists ever, his work is just incredible! More people ought to be introduced his marvellous-ness.

Wow! i love this! And, Andy Goldsworthy is one of my favorite artists! I did a project based on his icicle sculptures! Mine weren't nearly as good though! I plan to post them sometime soon.
