Just not enough hours in the day to do craft

Well to me it's like.. Victorian, but futuristic! The easiest movie examples right now are The Golden Compass, and the Around the World in 80 Days (with Jackie Chan!) that came out a few years ago. Brass & buckles, flying machines, machines that do all sorts of fun things (especially steam powered ones!)... and more! Smiley

(Oh. Also, I'm thinking about joining this swap!)

Couldn't explained it better myself

Can someone explain to me what exactly steampunk is? I just looked it up and I'm not quite understanding it. Thanks! Smiley

There was a steampunk swap a few months back, if you want to check out their gallery.  And there were quite a few good links to steampunk resources/references in the first post on the swap thread.

(also contemplating joining this swap...)

ATC = Artist Trading Card
They're 2 1/2 inch x 3 1/2 inch cards, usually decorated on one side (sometimes both, though usually the backs are signed/dated/numbered/&c.) meant to be traded. There are limitless thematic and media -- drawing, painting, collage, needlework, &c.! -- possibilities. For examples, you should check the "More Art, Less Craft" group, or just search craftster.org for "ATC."

Seems like not everone is into steampunk.  Although we have a few more days before sign up.   If we get no more craftsters signing up,  how do you feel about making it one large group of swappers? Make 6 ATCs get 6 ATCs?

I may have to extend send out if we go this route.

I'd be interested.  More for the steampunk than the ATCs heh.  I'm an ATC rookie.

Sure, I'd be ok with a larger pool.

I don't mind the larger pool either, especially if we get a wee bit more time to work on them  Grin

I just thought of something: I love the idea of sending different ATC's to all of my partners, but I have one idea in particular which I am in total love with (as long as it works out  Roll Eyes )

SO I was wondering what you guys think: Do you prefer individual cards or is everyone getting the same cards from someone alright?  I thought that might make the gallery a bit boring though?

 Thoughts, opinions?
