So I've been in a serious sewing slump lately and haven't felt like sewing anything.

Yesterday my daughter asked if we could make a bag for a friend's birthday party this weekend and I will post the result of that later (want her to model her own bag)  I determined however letting your child use your sewing machine is a great way to get over a sewing slump lol.  I was anxious the entire time waiting for 'my turn'  here are the two bags that are the result. Just a slight change between the two I added bias tape to the handles of the second as I wanted a bit more contrast where they connect.

I really like those!  THe bias tape contrast is really cool.

I know what you mean about the sewing slump.  The way I get over it is to have abunch of projects I need to finish that don't involve the sewing machine.  Then I really want to use it LOL

I love the way the fabrics don't "go together" but match perfectly together on the bag! Great job!
