I made this messenger-style monster bag to serve as a diaper bag for my first baby due in September.  I used a combination of several of the tutorials from the ultimate list.  He is super-plush minky outer with tencel twill liner and a zippered divider.  He also has two elastic bottle-holder thingies in the front corners.  It's my first attempt at making a bag, and boy do I wish I had attempted something simpler first, WITHOUT preggo brain!  Anyway, here are the pics, but he's not quite finished yet.  I think I still want to topstich around the rest of the top.

What do you think of him?

Nicole

WOW!  I love it!  Especially the inside detail and the batik lining.

This is great.  I have some fabric at home that I've been trying to figure out what to do with it.  You just inspired me, not a diaper bag, but a messenger bag monster of my own.  I love it.  Grin

Not bad for your 1st attempt. This is cute - kinda fits as a diaper bag.
