Here's a beachy dress I reconned from a men's Stripey XL dress shirt.  As per usual I just started cutting and sewing without having any definite plan in mind.  There was a point when I shoved this dress to the back of my closet and decided that it would never become anything I would consider wearing in public.  There it sat and festered for a month, and today (while cleaning out my closet) I found it and decided to make it wearable. 
Here's the front of the dress, I know it looks gray an white, but it's actually pink and blue.


Here's the back (I am terrible at taking pictures of my back, so excuse the blurriness):


The back looks kind of funky because I added tie-back panels of sorts, it seemed like a good idea at the time, they remind me of folded up wings.

^^ Thank you, I actually got that shirt, and three others, for half off (at the thrift store) because I didn't throw a huge fit when the lady at the counter couldn't get my debit card to work.

It was a win-win situation XD

I actually like the way the back of the skirt hangs.No... I love the way it hangs. It's very feminine. Nice job! Can I ask how you got the back to look like that?

Why thank you, and yes, you sure can (:
I basically made panels with the long sleeves of the original shirt and sewed them into the sides of the dress, I tried to make a tutorial:


Let me know if it needs any further explanation (I'm terrible at explaining things  Cheesy)
