First shirt recon

So this is my first shirt recon.
I found the inspiration here on craftster but I can't find the original post now...
As a before pic, imagine an enourmous and definitely unwearable black t-shirt.
As an afrter pic... Here it is



The neckline of the top was too large so I used a pin to fix it - I don't really know how to fix it by sewing it (I tried but well, it didn't work.   )

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated, expecially considering that I have so much everything to learn from you!!

I'm no pro with sewing, but I can imagine running some string through a folded piece in the middle to get a similar effect - but I don't see why you'd want to!  The pin is perfect.  It actually reminds me of a Bisou Bisou shirt I saw the other day where a similar thing was done with a snake brooch gathering fabric in the middle of the bust.  I think it looks really neat.
