closeup teaser/thumbnail pic  Tongue  i love this fabric

I was really excited about this challenge because I have been way to busy with school to participate in any all year. And then we lucked out when my husband got some free chairs from work. I had gotten the fabric originally for pillows but when I saw the challenge, it was perfect.

so, on to pictures!

before:

i unscrewed and ripped off the seat, then stapled the fabric down. the back of the chair does not come off so i sort of had to just stuff the fabric in the edges around the arms.

after:
the overall view. my cat has seriosuly adopted this chair. even when i am sitting in it she jumps up and sits behind me.

back/side view

any comments or criticisms welcome. thanks for looking!

That is GORGEOUS! I love that fabric, too! Wherever did you get it?!

ps - It looks like something I would totally find (and buy) in Ikea!

Beautiful fabric!  How did you make the back of the chair so neat and tidy w/o staples showing?  Yes, some Ikeas do not have fabric.   Sad  When I moved to Philly, I discovered the wonderment of an Ikea with fabric!

lil-abi, the fabric is stapled between where the bottom and top meet, and then just shoved where the bag meets the arms. you can kind of see it sticking out of the crack between the bottom and back but i'm too lazy to fix it because its not too noticable.

yay! i really really like it. and it's weird how cats pick out certain pieces of furniture. MAYBE you could reproduce this chair and sell it marketing it as a cat-friendly chair!
