Dahlin, I'm so glamorous I cry glitter tears.

So I saw a bias tape maker somewhere a few months ago and had. to. have. one. NOW!  So I eventually got one (within days) and went to town making straight-grain tape with scraps from other projects.  Bias tape takes a lot of yardage and so I made straight-grain tape (which is what I'm calling it, even though I'm sure it has an official name).  Then I tacked it to the wall in my basement craft lab and tried to figure out how to use it.

I made some dish towels (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=244735.msg2705477#msg2705477) and then got hooked and have been looking for towels in the right colors in the weeks since then.  Yesterday I found a pack of 5 assorted colors of "Bar Mops" and a matching pack of "Bar Cloths".  I like booze.  I spill.  Sometimes at the same time & I know others who do, too.  So here are the first 2 sets.

Blue:

Green:

Now I've just got to spill something so I can clean it up!  Forget milk, I'll save the tears for my beer and my next heartache.

Love the fabric you used to trim the first set - do you recall who the maker is?

I spill when I drink too (which is rare, but there is always spillage), so bar mops are a great idea.

Thanks!  I think it's Micheal Miller and that same color way comes in harlequin and multi-sized dots w/o the lines.  I found it in the children's section.  I think it also comes on a blue background.

I spill when I sleep.  Grace is not one of my gifts; luckily, I'm generally cheerful.

Thanks!  I was really happy to find the colors in the pack of towels, because I knew I already has a few different tapes to go with them!

I don't know why stand-up comics don't try out their material here!  I kid, I kid.

Thanks OmJane.  Yeah, simple and uses up scraps!  I think the scale gives me a whole new appreciation for the wee prints, too.

Those look great! I'm redoing my kitchen and will steal this little idea from you for my towels.  Great way to personalize, and seems economical as well.  This rocks!
