Thank you so much for all the nice comments! Smiley  This was actually the second attempt at redoing this chair.  The first time I tried to do an upholstered seat and back but it just didnt work.  I hated it so much I ripped it apart and moved onto another chair.  I almost threw this one away but figured I'd make one last attempt.  I'm glad I did Smiley

You've really turned this into a treasure. I stripped and repainted a whole bedroom set that was my great-grandmother's, so I have both sympathy for the hard work and appreciation for turning something old into a new treasure. That's a beautiful chair.
