I have yet to decide the fate of this piece. I like it as a brooch, I like it as a pendant, I like it as wall art. I cut this piece from 1/8" Birch with a Hegner. I have painted it in a satin black finish to preserve the wood, but also enhance its natural beauty and grains. It took longer for me to sketch out this piece in Inkscape than it did to cut it! By the way, if you don't have access to Illustrator, Inkscape is a wonderful (free) program!

Every element not originally drawn by me is used with permission. This piece is meant to depict "proper" dreams for a lady. It was incredibly fun for me to make, because I usually don't dream of any of these things! I dream of power tools, zombies, and sometimes world domination. I enjoyed exploring a more feminine side of myself. I hope you think it's fun too!

I'm off to cut my spider intrusion now!  Smiley

LOVE IT! So pretty! I thought it was acrylic like your "may day" piece (pocket full of posies), but I think wood is much more appropriate for the design, more natural. Your work is so good!
