I have a huge collection of odd little containers that I've picked up at garage sales and thrift stores over the last couple of years.  I really have no use for them but I seem unable to resist buying them Wink.  Anyways I decided to make a few of them into pincushions.

A poodle...

skulls...

an owl...

a little cup...

a little bird...

ice cream...

and a foot:

None of these took very much skill but they were a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Thanks for looking!

I like the little green bird and the ice cream. And the poodle is awesome, where did you find it? My mom painted the exact same poodle yellow and blue when she was in second grade as a present for her mom. Great idea turning it into a pin cushion. Smiley

Hey Fiber People: I am very interested in personal swaps for painted/dyed roving or top. I can swap supplies or crafted items. Let's talk!

I love them! What a smart idea! I have lots of little trinkets like this that would make cute pincushions.

OH MY STARS!  I'm INLOVE with the poodle!  I have a thing for poodles anyways.. but is especially cute!  You have truly inspired me now... I'm going to start scouring all antique stores around here for a little poodle similar to yours!
