my fiance and i made a loveseat from two scratched and cheap chairs from a used furniture store

the two chairs we got

all of the disorder that must first happen

our beautiful loveseat

with a pillow and cushioned armrests

we aren't sure if we like it with the black or fabric armrests better, so we made them interchangeable

thanks for looking!

I've had a couple of damaged chairs sitting around waiting for me to do something similar. They're still sitting there...

thanks so much for the feedback! it took us about a day and a half to make with all of the construction, painting and upholstering. and yes, it is VERY sturdy, my fiance made sure of that. we watched a movie in it last night

Great idea, beautifully done -- and the original design of the chairs was the perfect style for a loOoveseat bench!

We used the extra straight pieces of wood from the 2nd chair to reinforce the middle of the loveseat underneath and plus it has six legs Smiley

Grin The woodwork looks professional.  This is something that I would actually pay money for...if I had money to spend, that is...and if the 2 of us could fit comfortably in it, lol.  We have a combined weight of probably about 450 lbs.
