She used to be a pair of jeans  Grin

pretty much all weekend spent making her - she'll stay naked a while longer as I've neglected my family, home, etc. creating her  Wink

Ghillie rocks - this pattern is awesome - never sewn a doll before and this pattern makes it very straight forward.

and now with boots (thanks to eliea for fab tut!)
and tutu

still working on a top...

I love denim and I love her hair. Denim can be hard to work with but she looks perfect.

did you use a regular denim or one with some spandex in it?
i am just curious about whether it has any stretch and how that works out with stretchy denim or nonstretchy denim.

oh I hope it has some stretch - rigid denim would be a nightmare to work with!

She was made from jeans that had a bit of stretch - I asked on the poppetalong thread first and found out dolls are bestmade with material that has a bit of give to it.  You can actually see the tiny strands of elastic on the very edges of her fingers.

Just checked the jeans label (I only used the front of the legs - could m ake another one with the backs Smiley) and it's 98% cotton and 2% elastane.

Thanks for the encouraging comments.

I'm still  Shocked that I actually managed to make her!

My hubby wasn't a fan but he doesn't really "get" poppets. So You'll have to excuse him. I however love her! She came out soooooooo cute! I really like the way her body turned out you can really see the curves and her feet are so adorable! I shall have to go through my stash of 57 jeans and see if I have any with some stretch in them! So cute!
