Our local paper is often  unintentionally funny - my favourite was a weather report  'Warm when not cold and dry between rain showers'

Sounds like something from The Hippy-dippy Weatherman (George Carlin RIP) -- tonight's forecast is for dark with periods of light towards morning....

yay newspapers. and junk mail.
I'm going to go to the tourist information place in the city and get EVERYTHING.

I had salt licorice the other day.
My housemate's mum is dutch and she loves double salts.

It was shocking.

I had that very idea -- It was my plan for another swap, which needs to include at least three local things. I live in a tourist area so there are visitor centers all over the place with brochures, guides, etc.  Now I just have to get two copies of everything - one for each swap.  With this one I just have to be a bit more conscious of the shipping cost.

Some of them can be a really good source of images for someone who does paper crafts.

I was thinking of the newspaper and tourist info too as I live in a small touristy town.  I would love to get some local info from my partner!

Salt-licorice.. can't say that I'd even want to try, not a hug fan of licorice and salt?  too weird  Huh

Alas, I have not yet heard from her  Cry

Sevesonlygirl I can certainly put in grocery ads and a newspaper. Our local paper is often  unintentionally funny - my favourite was a weather report  'Warm when not cold and dry between rain showers' which frankly could be the weather forecast for every day of the year in this part of the world.

I'm sorry, I hadn't sent you a pm yet!LOL  That is a lovely forecast.  We always have a bunch of farm news and silly local stuff, but it's fun reading when you don't live here!

It looks like we need a new partner for nutfish1 - she's from the USA, so we need a non-US swapper.  If someone would like 2 partners, that would be fine too!  I'll keep a lookout here over the weekend if anyone wants to volunteer. Smiley

I just got the most scathingly brilliant idea!!!!!! How's it going with everyone else? I do hope you can find a partner for nutfish1 soon...sometimes you forget how spoiled you are when you get paired with someone great!
