Red hair, Pink dress, and rockin a Pink guitar!

This is my first challenge and I am so excited!

I found this chair at an indoor flea market about two months back. The fabric was a 60's yellow, orange, and split pea soup green that was absolutely hideous. Despite the fact that it basically looked like someone puked all over it, I loved the curves in the chair and the springs were in excellent shape. And best of all the little white price tag pinned to it said that it would be mine for the low, low price of $5.00. ......SOLD!

I took it home and put it in my bedroom out of site till I could find just the right fabric that would both make a statement and would celebrate my colorful personality.

After rummaging through my many boxes of material, I came across this fantastic pink furriness that had been given to me about 3 years ago. It had a really strange shape cut out of one end but I was pretty sure there would be enough. ( just barely!)

Now the fun begins! I removed all the upholstery tacks and took off all the old gross fabric. (The garbage can devoured it quickly!) The original padding was still usable but I add more batting to make it extra comfy. I also spray painted the wooden legs with silver.

With my trusty staple gun, scissors and the fabric in hand, I went to work. After much stretching and pulling, stapling and maybe a little cussing, This is what I came up with!

That is fantastic!  Whenever I see that kind of fabric at the store I pet it and wonder what I could make, then I see the price and walk on.  So nice you were given it and found such a cute-shaped chair so cheap.  YEY!

Any chance we could get a 3/4 shot from the back?

I covet your chair!  It would go nice in my game room, the walls of which are just about the same color as the walls in your photos.
