Great job on a fairly intricately upholstered chair -- and the telling of the story as well!

Your post is one of the most fun to read, fun to follow, fun to see remakes I've ever read. Thank you for a thorough and thoroughly funny hike from start to finish. Love the new chair - I bet it smells terrific! Cheesy

The chair I am currently working on is a wing chair. Those are SUCH a pain to rip apart. I still have my battle scars on my hands. How do you put it back together without the evil teeth things?

Well, we used tack strips on straight edges, and ended up gluing the top curved and bottom straight edge of the back.  We also tucked some glue into crevices that were not stapled (b/c staples would have shown).  The glue we used was some toxic "extremely flammable, vapor harmful" "Quick Grip" glue.  It said on the package it was suitable for fabric.  I'd used it before and it has proved to be very strong.

Basically, with the wing-back aspects, we pulled all panels facing front to the back, and stapled on the back.  The last step was to cover the back, and all those telltale staples.
