I am making wall hanging quilts for both my parents for christmas this year.  I just finished the quilt top for my dad's.  I still have to quilt it, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out.  Hopefully he'll like it too.  Now I just need to get started on my mom's.

I finished up the binding on my fish quilt last night so here is an updated picture.  I still have to attach something to the back to hang it.....I am thinking I'll just sew on a tube of fabric to put a dowel through.  The finished size is 22" X 26".

Thanks!  I think when I am done I will make one for myself.  I have just started my mom's, and I am not exactly sure what I am going to do.  My parents have been remodeling their house, so my mom now has a "sewing" room....it is more like a big closet, but she is really excited about it.  So I am going to make her's with a sewing theme.  I am going to embroider (which I have never done!) the center with the craftopia pattern from sublime stitching.  But I'm not exactly sure what else I am going to do.  The room is small with lots of windows so it will have to be relatively small.
