Mother-of-Boyfriend had a piece of curtain she did no longer want so me and Sister-of-Boyfriend tore it in half with a vague plan to one day be Very Classy in our Similar Dresses.

I just finished mine, it's from burdastyle's sabrina pattern, which is the only pattern you have to pay for. Even if it's a lousy 2,5 dollar it still is sort of odd considering the opensourceness of burdastyle. But let's not go there...

Without much further ado i present you my first piece of clothing from pattern, including fancy things such as interfacing and ironing:

what do you think?

I think it's excellent!
And the fabric is lovely and very un-curtain-like...    Smiley

I adore it!  My favorite part is that it has pockets.  Not enough dresses have pockets.

very nice for a first piece of clothing.

Well it's not my first piece of clothing, but the first piece i made from a pattern. I usually just sort of wing it because somewhere in my mind it seems easier to make up everything myself instead of following a step by step plan that is proven to work. Yeah, now i read it it doesnt make sense to me either...

you make me happy Smiley i didn't even think about it. But i guess if i found that fabric i would definitely make myself a dress and see how many people get it.
