Hi there,
I made this dress a while back and was wearing it out tonight and finaly remembered to take a photo of it! Its winter here at the moment and its great to wear with a long sleeve top and a cardi! I got the fabric from Ikea for about $25 and the pattern was free! all in all it took me about a day to make!
YAY!
so here it is....what do you think??

the pattern was from burdastyle, its the danielle

i really reccomend it! its soooooo easy to make, i modified it slightly and put the zip in the side, its much easier to get in and out of this way!

You look great! Great styling. I love the choice of fabric. And your shoes are gorgeous and really set the fabric off.  Grin
You've inspired me to have a go at making something to wear out this evening. If you can make a wonderful dress in a day, I should be able to make at least something...?

Your dress is really cool! I bought the same fabric last month to make a travel bag, but I am working long hours so...no travel bag to show you yet.

I am going to check that free pattern for future sewing-adventures, thank you for sharing! Wink

the pattern was really easy to follow, there were no instructions but i was able to sew and this is the first real piece of clothing i have made. I have seen this fabric used in a travel bag, i really like the colour and the large pattern....i love ikea Smiley

i "borrowed" the shoes from my sister.....quite some time ago....i don't suppose she will be getting them back! hahahaha....fool!
