Hey everybody, 

I made this brooch this spring using the lost wax casting method and blue wax.  The details are depletion gilded (although you can't really see it from the picture) and I set a cubic zirconia in the bird's breast.  The cz is gypsy or flush set, this is one of the easiest settings for me... so that also makes it my favourite.

i love this. i've been watching the birds migrate back up here to montana and this piece is refreshing to see a different species other than a swallow or something.
