My brother gave me this clock for my 13th or 14th birthday. I've always liked it, but purple isn't really my color (I'm not a big fan of chrome either). Also, it didn't stand up straight without something to prop it up.  The brown I used matches a couple picture frames I have and the bronze-y color matches some decorative shelf-brackets. Next thing... I need to repaint these green walls!

This was a quick, mostly easy project (except for the fly that landed in the fresh paint!). I took it apart, cut the base to match the length of the other 11, painted it and reassembled.

it looks so much better now! i wouldn't be able to stand having the original sitting on my desk (i'm very surprised at how neat i've gotten since going to college...strange) but i would love to hang what you made it into  Grin

It's the exact same wall - just different lighting. I loved my paint choices when I first did them but nowadays they're too bright. I wish I'd gone with more neutral greens.
