Here is a dress I finished yesterday, it's pretty simple but took all day because I didn't have the vaguest plan as to what I wanted to do.  I thusly spent most of my time trying to fix my errors and turn my sad scraps of yellow jersey into something that was at least wearable.
I think I might have succeeded  Grin

you did a great job! I know how hard it is to try to work with odd-shaped scraps of fabric but yours looks fantastic

It's just tied on; I needed something with which to cover up a stain (I knocked over a bottle of sewing machine oil and it dribbled...)

this is really cute, but the tie seems out of place.
depending on where the stain is, you could find/make a cute applique and attach it there?
the tie would look better up by the seam under the bust.

but anyways! really cute dress. love the ruffle, and i'm a sucker for yellow! lol.

Thats really cute. It makes your butt look great, too! Grin I would opt for either the applique idea to cover the stain or a wider belt, maybe.

Cute dress!  I love the cut and ruffle and the yellow!

I agree with the suggestion to alter the belt--I think that it would be especially flattering for your body-type if you would move the little belt up/around the empire seam.  (just a suggestion, I think it looks great now, too!)  Smiley
