hahaha yes Urban Outfitters is extremly overpriced. the only thing more ridiculous are those who purchased the $200 "vintage" brand new jeans (oxymoron?, or irony?). Oh the coaco bean is not metallic, although it is glossier then i hoped. its semi-gloss, i would have bought flat but i find it has a tendency to scratch easily. i encourage all of you to attempt a similar project, it was far less trouble then expected.

The chair came out great! I'm horribly jealous of your friend... She is one lucky gal.  Grin

My boyfriend lives a few blocks away from an Urban Outfitters and when I need a good laugh I drop by. Urban Outfitters is not the only culprit, but I really do get a kick out of new "old" jeans. Especially the ones that are made to look all stained and dirty... My dad worked in construction until he retired and also worked on cars as a hobby, looking at the thrashed clothes in his closet makes me feel like I am in a chic urban clothing store... lol

i got this strange email, where some company was offering me to sale my "chairs" through their company (at a "small" fee, ofcourse) but it was kind of shocking to know people are exploiting craftster.com, in an obvious ploy to make money off diy enthusiasts. please comment.

this discussion has been around craftster for some time.
if you have your email address posted on your bio page, that is how these spammers got you.

i have a ton of projects posted on craftster but do not post my email address.  i haven't received the infamous email.
