From this drawing..

to this dress.

The photographs make it look rather wider and generally a bit bigger at the bodice than it actually is for some reason. Now Iíve finished the dress, a friend of the friend now wants one too which Iím currently working on.

*Thought I'd just add the little bag I made from left over fabric to go with it. Sorry for bad quality pictures.

It has a removable handle because she wasn't sure if she wanted a handle on it.

I absolutely love the fabric and your friend is a fabulous designer. Looks like you spent a long time making her the perfect prom dress. Have you made anything like this before or was it just like wtf go for it  Cheesy ?

You just went off of a drawing? You didn't draft a pattern or anything?

And does the friend of the friend want the same dress or did she draw a picture too?

You were born an original. Don't die a copy.

I made a sort of toile out of cheap fabric and chopped that up to create a pattern of sorts. I only recently got the dress form so this is my first major project using it and I've learnt a lot making the dress.
And the friend of the friend has sketched her own design out for me to make her.
