So my Mom bought me this wicker chair at an auction sale years ago. It didn't have a pad when I got it so I bought this ugly one that fit from walmart. Then when we got our puppy he decided to eat the pad  Roll Eyes He is over a year old now and pretty much done chewing things to bits so I made a new chair pad!!

I made it with left over fabric from the pillow so they match. I just laid a piece of freezer paper into the chair and drew around it to make my pattern. I re-purposed the insides of an old couch pillow for the stuffing and sandwiched it between to thick layers of quilt batting. Very comfy to sit on and stylish to boot!  Grin

Thanks for looking!

Great job on the pad (and looks fab with the pillow!).

I have a pair of the exact same chair!   Be happy you didnt have the original pad - it was that tweedy polyester tapestry brown/rust/harvestgold/beige with bad floral designs (not retro-cool bad, just ugly!).  I have temporary covers on mine while I decide what I want to do with them (may paint the chairs).

I absolutely love it, especially that brown fabric.  May I ask where you got it?  It takes me back to some much loved things from my childhood (my mom made everything, and some of my favorite softee toys and bedding was made in a print just like that).

I bought the fabric at my local quilt store. Sorry I don't have any left to even get the name off of the salvage. I just fell in love with it though.
Thanks for the comments!

I'm glad I don't have the original pad!! My Mom paid a lot for this chair and I love it to death! One of my fav chairs, and so comfy!

I just love that wicker chair.  You did a great job on the new cushion and pillow.  Sweet embroidery pattern.

Super snazz! I like how the fabric is just traditional enough looking to match the wicker, and just "cute" enough to make it a little more fun...

Also the illustration on the pillow? A-plus-plus
