I love love love my new dress. Bought the sheet for a dollar at a flea market, and the zipper and ricrac were free. Yay $1 dress! I used New Look pattern 6557. This is the first dress I've sewn, and only the second pattern I've ever followed. I added the back tie in to make it fit better and made the waist band thinner for more of a babydoll. Sorry for the bra shot.

Comments appreciated and loved! Smiley

OMG!  I had that sheet when I was little.  I think my sister has it now.  It keeps cool in the heat.  They don't make sheets in that fabric anymore.

I love the dress.  You did a great job!

Great job on that dress, it's so cute! My mom has the pillow case to that sheet set! I've been trying to snag it for crafting purposes for years, but she won't let me have it.

Oh wow, that's really lovely!

Reminds me of a shop in my hometown that sells lots of (mostly really expensive) bed-sheet-clothes.
But never mind the money, having made something that's so beautiful is priceless. <== obvious but true  Wink

And by the way I'm glad somehow to see a sheet-recycling-dress without Bambi on it xD

Lovely pattern + Raggedy Ann = super cute dress! I used to have a Raggedy Ann, and Andy now that I think of it... Anyways, I really like the rick-rack straps. Smiley
