I'm very much hoping to do some pages soon. I also want to get a fancy bound watercolor sketchbook for altering too!

Just done my second page. And remembered to resize the images as well to fit on craftster!

I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I had a lot of fun doing the background and it was interesting doing a bit of experimenting with masking tape

The image on the right is (very much) my work in progress. I actually started the drawing in july but obviously didn't finish it so I decided to use the paper, and therefore the image, in my journal.

I've been working in my altered atlas.
Some of these are just backgrounds, some are finished.

I like how the map shows through in this one.

I'm really happy with the skull man!

This is what I felt like after working way too much when everybody at work was sick I couldn't stop crying for three days and painted this self portrait. I feel terrible just looking at it, but I'm gonna keep it as a reminder not to do that again.

This is just a background.

Not sure what to do with this one. It's from the same day as the self portrait, and the guy in the packing tape transfer to the left looks in a mirror and says he looks just like Saddam Hussein when they arrested him. The portrait to the right is just random.

I did something about the stressed out, tired and annoyed mess that used to be me!

Starting this week, I'm going to university for the next three years to become an occupational therapist. That will mean reasonable hours, lunch breaks, and best of all: no night shifts. Not very well paid but better than now.
I'm in a long-distance group because I have a five-hour train ride to school so I'm gonna do most of the reading at home, with lectures and group discussions online, and go to campus for exams a couple of times every semester.
I also made a new friend who is taking the same programme. She lives half an hour from me so we'll be able to do some assignments together and help each others with motivation and reading.
I'm keeping my job but working much less, about ten hours per week instead of 50-60 which means I'll only have to drive to town once a week instead of the five times I've been going there until now.

It's going to be lots of hard work but I'm really happy I decided to do it!
I'll probably have to hide my journal and take it out only when I'm done studying for the day though

Hi! I haven't posted in this thread in a long time, but I still love visiting. Everyone's work in here is just so wonderful and inspiring 

I finally started my altered journal and have been working in it off and on for awhile now.
I thought I'd share a few pages with you guys.
I wouldn't say any of them are really completed. I seem to be incapable of just focusing on one page at a time so instead I just randomly flip through the whole book and add whatever strikes my fancy lol.







I'm having so much fun working in my journal! It's such a nice relaxing thing to do just for me
