Hi Again!

I think my attention span is cyclical in nature. It took me a while but I've finally come back round to my poor abandoned altered journal.

Trying to catch up on all the great pages I missed in the a-long (but with dial-up...it's probably going to take me awhile).

Hate to start off with a "dark" page, but this is the first one I made when I opened my book back up and perused through a far-too-large collection of paper bits, etc. (the texture is a little lost in the scan).




I loved this random image I clipped from a magazine and the word was from my newspaper clippings.




I feel like both pages are missing something...haven't figured out what, yet...

Okydoky, here is the start I have going. A lot of these I would like to go back in and redo. I did learn that with the book I chose, I need to put atleast to pages together so that I can use both sides. So I started doing that after these pages that I'm going to show you. Then I started on the rainbow challenge I also tried to use more multimedia in those pages as well. Up untill then it is watercolors, colored pencils, chalk pastels and ink. Wellllll... here they are

I really love the layers and textures of your first page too, graverobbergirl, and the fact that the only colour in there is red. The photo seems so haunting.

Sadly I never got round to cutting my lino or anything else in my book yesterday, or today. I managed to fall off my bike (or rather over it, and then under it) and I have enough silly injuries everywhere to make sure I get nothing done! I'm busy plotting things in my head though!

EEK! Phizzy I hope you feel better! My back is out of commission, so I haven't been doing anything but doodling lol. I start physical therapy on thursday, then it's off for an mri on friday. I HATE when bodily injuries get in the way lol

Hey, Graverobbergirl! Welcome back! I love the contrast between your two pages. I agree with the others that the photo is haunting, and I really love all the bits of texture. I just want to touch it! The picture in the second page is fantastic!

Luna, love those rainbow pages. The rain clouds are cute, and I like that the one is filled with writing (yes?) as well as the eye page. What did you do to your back woman? Geez. I'd better put on my good luck charm, this group seems to be wracked with injuries this week. 

I finally finished my honeymoon book if anyone was interested in looking. That means more journal time! Whoo. I have two pages to post when I get home from work and one in the works, but as it's just a sloppy background right now it needs a lot of work.
