What's everyone working on? I'm still trying out ideas for my architecture page. Hopefully I'll have it posted by this Friday!

It is quiet here isnt it.
Heres what I've been working on but Im reluctant to share it - last time I tried using watercolour pencils I got a soggy messy page - this time I am pleased with my technique, I did the drawing and then using a damp sponge either just dabbing it on for the face, or dragging it in the direction of the hair on the picture. So I love the technique but the face on the drawing just isn't quite right - I can see all the little things that are wrong with it but can't really change them now - I might scrap it!

Don't scrap it, I love the colours! I think if you turned her nose down at the end it would make a big difference, and that can be easily done. You can cover the upward nose by colouring more of the blue hair. Also her eye would stand out more if it were darker.

Yeah, for the last two weeks Hopefully I'll have it done for tomorrow though!

I've been creating things for my IYP swap partners which I'm sending out tomorrow so I've been busy finishing things for them and it's kind of taken over a bit

I'm working on my architecture page today, I can't quite figure out how I want to finish it, I do know what it's about finally....I'm also working on the page that's on the back of it ... and the page that shows through the window because I wanted it to tie in somehow with the architecture page ... One or more of these pages will be done tomorrow


Phizzychick I like how you made that smaller page with the postcard and it's a good idea to remember about cutting down some pages to add other stuff as my book may get a little thick by the time it's finished... very well put together page & definitely something new for you.  I have a bunch of those language cards somewhere in a few different languages. I never know what to do with them because I want to be able to use the non-english side, but then I know I'll forget what it means..

Gemcraft the colors are great ... I agree if her nose was turned down a little more and her eyes darker would change her look for the better. I like her though and you draw much better than I do

wowzers!  have ya'll done like a season like summer or fall?  is that too boring?  or a secret hiding place....or sun and water  or or hmmmm don't know but I would join you all!  I haven't added anything to my first page (misty's tribute) that was a difficult time for me....but I'm ready to go now!

Any of those themes works for me. I really like the secret hiding place one though, that could be all sorts of things!
