Just a quick question.
What do you girls use to make your pages ehhmm thicker? More water resistant
I tried glueing my pages together because I use a lot of watercolors, but that doesn't really work.
The pages I glue together get al wobbly and ugly Sad

SarahPiiSan -- try using rubber cement! It dries smooth and doesn't make your pages stiff or warped, even if you glue several of them together. It smells a little strong for a while, but that's all. :"D

Sarah, I use mod podge to glue pages together and I don't get a lot of warping.

I finished the page with the dino, thanks smuckers for the trees suggestion! I really like how it turned out.

But please reassure me that this looks like a tree... I can't see it with an outsider's eyes.

i can see the tree! I like it like that though, it adds a lot of texture to the page.
Here are the cut-out I did in my now finished journal  Smiley
I have loved the chunky house swaps for so long and have been wanting to join but, I wasn't sure how I would make any, so I made these to see how I would do...I like them but I don't know if I am ready for a chunky house swap.
Front of first house.

Back of first house and front on second.

Back of second front of third.

Back of third and the fourth Fourth.

Back of fourth and new page.

At first I thought it was a dinosaur made out of tree squares ... It kind of looks like a cross between a dinosaur and a tree to me. Either way it works great for your page!  Smiley

Smuckers9 great chunky house pages, I like how they work in your pages  Smiley

thelastkodama, I really love the way you've made that tree!

Houses! I love those pages, smuckers!

I've not really been in the mood to create any pages recently, but yesterday I got my book out again. Smiley
Left page: The best tramp conversation ever was when we were stopped to admire the moon and the guy said "look at the moon on that!"
Right page: A blackbird has now eaten all of the grapes left on the vine. It's been so funny watching him come and struggle to pull them off!

I have already started a new journal. It is paper back though, I haven't done much, just paint a couple of spreads. But i don't know if I will continue to use it because it won't stay open!! I drilled holes in it to put rings through but I don't think that will work. Does any one have any suggestion? If not I will just pick up a new book at Goodwill this week.
I am also going to go to Art on a Lark (The place panthermoon went to with all the great stamps) at the end of this week and I can barely contain my excitement  Smiley hehe.

I've not tried a paperback before, so I can't be much help Undecided Could you just use clips to hold it open while you work on it?

I'm so jealous of you going to Art on a Lark!

I'm in England this week, but I've brought my journal and have been colouring and sticking away. I might try and finish a page today!

You might want to just remove the pages you've done and include them in a new hardcover. The paperback spine probably won't stand as much abuse as hardcovers will, it might split from being forced to lay flat. Good luck =/
