hi!
i havent been on here for awhile!
i've been busy doing christmas gifts...
but now that it is after christmas i had some time to work on some pages.
i didnt really know what to do so i kind of went off of the idea phizzy suggested awhile back...
trying other peoples techniques and kind of doing your version of it.
i chose to do teesha moore.
i couldnt really seem to make mine look beautiful like her though!
i guess i dont quite grasp her style
anyway heres her website (its great)

so as you can tell not spectacular but i am happy with them haha
do you think the first one needs something more on the face side?
i'm working on another in this "style"
but i'm very unhappy with it right now...

One of my New Year's resolutions is to get back to work on my journal more, so I hope to be in here a bit more in the new year!

Smuckers9 I like the colors you chose for your pages. It's good to try new techniques or styles, I think yours came out great! The best thing is to try something new, but make it your own too. 

I haven't done much in my journal the last month either. I made a lot of Christmas gifts this year and since I work in retail, I was tired a lot of the time. It's been a strange tiring month, but it's almost over. I did start a page for Christmas and hope to have it done this week. Late I know, but I can't quite decide on how to finish it. I may do one for New Years too. I'm off tomorrow so I may get to work on them then.

i'm not exactly a frequent psoter on this board, but i lurk endlessly.
i figured it was about time i get up and participate.

i started my own journal just this afternoon and this is my first page as of now.



it still feels like it needs more, but i'm not sure what.
it's obviously inspired by many of the wonderful pages i've seen on this board.

i hope you'll welcome me into your journaling family!

i did some more pages today.
very simple and quirky.

 

this one is really interesting..and i'm not sure i like it, the lady REALLY creeps me out and reminds me of a giraffe hence the giraffe on the other page

Wow, I just spent the last three days reading the 122 pages of this thread. Before now, I just saw a few of these pages in the "recent with pics" section and didn't really understand the appeal. But now I just can't get enough! It seems like the perfect medium for me to journal with because of the freedom it gives you. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and that really holds me back from finishing things sometimes. But with this, I'm not going to set any conditions on it. I hope I'll have some contributions soon! I'm going out thrifting for a book later today.

Smuckers9 you have some more great pages.  I think my favorites are the color? & fake pages. What kind of paint did you use on the color page? I like the textured look to the page.

I won't be able to post pictures until I get home at the weekend, but I was so desperate to get started again (after seeing all the wonderful pages recently) that I had to use what I could find at my parents' today. So look forward to a wrapping paper, ribbon and biro page
