Prior blurb...
This was suggested in a thread I'd posted my in-progress journal in. I thought I'd kick it off seeing as there are quite a few of us out there who visual journal, and it would be nice to share our progress

So, post a picture when you've completed a page, we'd love to see them! You can post daily, monthly, whenever and whatever you like. Add an explaination of your thoughts or process, or just the photo...it's up to you!

Thank you! I wish I'd started earlier too, this is only my 3rd book like this. I'd love to have a whole bookshelf of them to look through when I needed something to inspire or remind me.

Phizzy I would know those were your pages from a mile away, they are so you.
They are so gorgeous and completely inspiartional. I've always wanted to journal but have just never gotten around to it. Maybe, just maybe this will be what kick starts it off.

I love a visual journal! I don't know if I'll ever do one myself, but I will be watching!

Hi, I've been journalling off and on for about 8 years and I have never come across these visual journals until I signed up for Craftster last week! I think they are great and I would love to do one but I don't really understand the concept, do you still write in them or just gather/draw pictures that mean something to you?

I shall leave someone more experiences to answer raeonix's question but I have just started my first one. Im going out now though so I will post more about it and a picture later. I'm  very nervous about it

I don't know about more experienced, but yes, you can write in them too. I just don't write much because pictures come much more easily than words to me. Mine tend to be mix of trials of ideas and techniques, or about things I like or have done or places I've been. Like today I'm heading into town and taking it with me so I can do some ink doodles of buildings.

And by "altered" this means that you take a regular ol' book of some sort and go over it with your artwork/journaling?  I took a half-used up pad of lined note paper that was thrown away by someone and with painting and collage turned it into a weird little story book, is that appropriate for here?  I don't think I could share my actual journal because it has too much private stuff in it.
