So my sister-in-law just got married at Walt Disney World and I wanted to give them a present suitable for Disney Nuts (they are planning on living in Florida and working at WDW... they are quite smitten with the place), anyway enough about that.  So I decided to make them a Disney themed afghan for their wedding gift.  The groom loves Mickey (and I figured he was one of the easiest characters to crochet), and the bride's favourite colour is blue, so I combined them to make this afghan.  It's all Double Crochet, on a 10 mm hook.  I used Bernat Softee Chunky (3 shades of blue) and I used a little less than 3 balls of the 2 lighter colours and just cracked the 4th ball of the darkest colour to finish the edging.  I made up the pattern (just circles (the ears were attached with whip stitches, and the heads were single crocheted to each other).  I did a shell stitch border.  My gauge ended up being quite variable from start to finish (really it had nothing to do with the fact I completed most of the circles in class, really it didn't), so the Mickys didn't line up as well as I had hoped.  Due to this there is also one Minnie hiding in the afghan to fill a rather large gap between heads.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

Love it!  They could play "Where's Minnie"! (in reference to "Where's Waldo", and not anything else!)  Shocked  Great job, and great idea!

Miss Disney, I'm sure you could complete this or something similar since it was all circles it didn't take that long to do and could easily be done in little bits and pieces  Wink
