Obviously, I've been saving these up for a while.  I have a problem leaving clothing alone.  I have it in my head that all should be embellished, appliqued, or what have you.

This is just a denim skirt that someone gave me which I added an applique of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  I machine stitched all the details around it.

This is a fleece jacket my 2yo son and I made for my husband for Xmas.  The top layer of the applique is actually a drawing my son did that I scanned and printed out on a fabric sheet (the washable kind).  We made the skull and layered it and sewed it on.  My son called it "Spooky".

I swear this is it for now.  Thanks for looking.

OK,so the truth is out...you have a real artist's eye.
Keep 'em coming. It's great to see your creations. (And it looks like you live in a beautiful forest, too)

thanks!!  appliqueing is one of those things i love to do.  if you have something to say, just put it on some clothes!!!
my son gets so excited every time my husband wears that jacket.  he knows he "made" it.
Mrs. B.--we have a pond right outside that window and a ton of trees out back.  we do have a "beautiful forest" -- we're very lucky!!!

Cute skirt, and I love the jacket!  Maybe you'll get your son hooked on crafting... Smiley

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

I have it in my head to embellish things, too! I can't have just a plain, boring piece of clothing.

I really like these. Appliques are super cool. You and your son did a great job! Post more soon.
