Hi, I was wondering in make a "GOD is awesome" theme swap with a wonderfull christian crafster in the Choose Your Partner Swap, but she already had partners for it... well, somebody saw that post and thought it was a good idea to invite you for it...

My mind goes crazy with all the ideas, but what do you think?

I will be definitly interested, any other?

of course, thanks just_lisa, I just didnt realize that may be more crafters interested in it .... but wow! now I can imagine that gallery!!  Shocked

I've seen swaps for pagan/wiccan and one for Jewish stuff. Anyone interested in a Christian theme swap?

There were 3 rounds of the Love Jesus (or I Love Jesus, or LoveJesus) swap!

You may want to see if anyone from those swaps is into it!

A Christian swap would be awesome!!!!!!   Things to know about your partner might be:  What is your favorite Bible Verse?  Who is your favorite person in the Bible and why?  Do you have a favorite story from the Bible?  Do you collect anything with a spiritual basis???  Such as angels, doves, Noah's ark, etc.  Is there anything you would not like to get from your swap partner??  (Such as if you don't do Santa)

I am so in for this swap if you get it going!!

OH  ok  thanks. I was  kinda  thinking that but wasn't for sure.
don't think we will hold it against anyone which denominatiopn they are so long as Christian. I think if we can ask in questionaire which denomination and maybe that can help with pairing maybe. but actually it should all be  ok  even if a Catholic is crafting for a Baptist or whatever.  it'll all be fabulous in the end!

I originally tried to imply that I would trade a Catholic person for a person from a different religion...not that I would advocate sending real people through the mail, those boxes would be so cramped...my sense of humor may not be the same as most.

I think this would be a great swap...
And I agree, Christian is Christian in my book, no matter the denomination. Smiley

Hope the following doesnt offend anyone, but this describes me best....
I myself was raised in all three Presbyterian, Baptist and Methodist churches growing up, so  i called myself a Metho-bap-terian for years....then after marriage I joined the catholic church (8 yrs ago) like DH(another cradle catholic Smiley ) so we could partake communion as a family which was important to me.
I am kinda all wrapped into one Smiley.....so Christian suits me best cause Methobapterian-olic is wayyyy to much to say or spell often  Wink

okay, Smiley
I will try to open it up tonight or tomorrow.
in the meantime, if you think of any quesetions to add onto the questionnaire, post them here. I will read them and add them to the form. If nothing is added here when i come on to make the form, I will just wing it Smiley but will make a note on here saying how I am making it up or either that its up on the boards.
THanks everyone!

Smiley

Ok, strike that for now. I will not be able to participate in it even if I did get to organize, but for now things have come up, and looks like I will be quite busy so i am unsure if I will have enough time to really give this swap the attention it would need.
If somone else steps up and decides to organize, have fun! (its really not that hard to do if you keep it a small swap for those who are interested but are nervous about organizing)

if something changes i will post on here

Anyone still interested in this?  I'm finishing up two swaps right now, but would be willing to organize/co-organize if everyone would be willing to have an April 3rd send out date.  It would be my first time organizing, but I'm willing to give it a shot for a Christian swap.  (I'm sure you'll all forgive any mistakes I might make!  Wink)

I'd be willing to co-organize as well!

Okay, nikimac, I think I'll just get out there and do it!

This is what I'm thinking...

I'll be out of town for work the 22nd - 27th of Feb.  I will have internet time, though and would probably be able to get things set up by Saturday, the 28th.  I would run sign-ups through the 13th of March and assign partners by midnight on Sunday, the 15th.  Send-outs would probably be the 6th of April which would probably allow for everyone to get their things by Easter.  That would provide 3 weeks for crafting.

What do ya'll think would be an acceptable number/size of items to send in that time period?

My thoughts were for it to be a five point swap.  Any thoughts?

Okay, everyone, I've been checking into the process for organizing and I may be able to get this up and running by this Saturday.  I'll be out of the office doing field inspections tomorrow, so I won't be around internet all day.  I'll be in the office Friday with not much to do, so I may be able to start getting things set up then!  If I can make that happen, I'll be able to move the sign-up deadline back a week giving us an extra week to craft!

Maybe I could bump it up to 7 points?
