Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO

Age requirement? none, just be sure you can commit to make it to the post office on time if you rely on others for transportation

- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 13 years old: YES

Details of swap:

Dotee Dolls are the mini art dolls made by doll artist Dot Christian.  She's been kind enough to offer a Dotee Doll tutorial on her blog here: http://dotslifeandart.blogspot.com/2007/02/art-doll-tutorial.html which is a really great jumping off point for making all kinds of mini art dolls.  I'm really excited about making these little dolls, but I don't have anything to do with them.  I would much rather swap my dolls for dolls that other people have made, and maybe you feel the same way.  If so, this swap is for you!

This will be a round-robin style swap.  Depending on the number of signups, we'll break into groups of 6 or so.  You'll craft a doll for each member of your group, and your fellow group members will do the same.  Everyone will end up making and receiving about 5 dolls (possibly 4 or 6 depending on group size) so that we all end the swap with a lovely collection of one another's work.  Because the dolls are so small and generally light, shipping should be quite affordable, even though you'll be sending several packages.

There are very few rules about these dolls, but:

-Dolls should be no more than 5" in height
-Dolls should have a hanging loop for display
-Dolls should be individual and express your own style and personality Cheesy

Here are a few other Dotee Doll pics for inspiration (none of these are dolls I made, just samples I pulled from Google)

this sounds really cool!

unfortunately, i'm not in the US. is there a specific reason why you're limiting the swap to US only?

You know, I was just concerned about international shipping costs since there will be multiple sendouts.  I suppose I could just ask whether people are willing to send internationally, and make an international group.  Would you mind potentially sending to other international participants?

i wouldn't mind at all!

it's not really that complicated for the organizer, just have everyone who's sending internationally save their receipts, since they can't get DC numbers. or you could just make everyone ship internationally (i do that for most of the swaps i organize, just because it's easier to match people up that way!), and just put one or two international people per group to keep the cost down. there are multiple options!

i dont think the international aspect would be that big of a deal because they look like they can fit into a regular envelope?

I would love to do this.  I love making small things and especially teeny dolls of various types.  I would mail internationally, since it would just be one tiny lightweight doll (that would probably fit into an envelope?)
I'll send in my questionnaire.

I have made some kinda like these and enjoy doing them.  I do not mind send internationally....

They are pretty much light weight: I just sent to friendship dolls to Arizona (1.51 plus DC# .75 and 2.40 oz.) and Kansas (1.34 plus DC# .75 and 1.30 oz ).  These were 2 different sizes so weight makes difference, both mailed in pad envelope. Also these were mailed in the US.  This is just a ball park so you have some idea of cost...

Hey guys - I did go ahead and open the swap up to international participants.  I agree that one little envelope shouldn't be a big deal.

And yay, signups!  This is the first swap I've organized, so I was a little nervous that no one would join.
