Here are a couple new bags I put together last week.  I made them both with vintage fabrics that I found years ago at a thrift/antique store.  The owl is punched needle point.  They bags were not made from patterns, just cutting and sewing.  I am really pleased with both the results.  On the green and purple bag, I added bunched circle flowers (which I have been addicted to making recently), and I added some very cool old buttons I found in my moms collection.  Constructive criticism appreciated Smiley

I'm having a bit of trouble picturing the first... what does it look like when it's full?

Did you do that punched needle point? I think it gives the bag some unique flair ^^

I love the last bag, but I'm thinking prehaps a solid-coloured ribbon would be less overwhelming? And I'm not sure how it hangs, but just from the picture, it appears that the handles should be slightly further apart. But if it hangs well the way it is now (can't really tell from the pics) then ignore that Wink

(and so only saying this because you asked for constructive criticism ^^ I think they look really good! Cheesy )

Love the second bag. I think the ribbon looks great, but do agree that the spacing of the handles looks off. The yo-yos are beautiful.

I LOVE the owl bag.  I love vintage fabrics for bags.  You did a great job.  Did you do the needle punch for the owl or was that already on the fabric?
