I'm finally getting back into my sewing room and got around to making my 10 yo cousin's fairy costume for the faire next week.  I plan to add more peacock feathers to the bodice shoulder if I can get to Hobby Lobby this week.  I'm going to add more feathers (probably not peacock b/c they cost too much!) to the skirt (there are feathers there if you look closely).  The back laces in a curvy little diagonal and she has wings to wear with it.  She hasn't seen it yet - she's going to be so excited!!

Awesumbeautifficuln ess!  Cheesy  Wow, it is so perfect - the colors, the feathers, the frayed edge. I love it! And actually *lightbulb* when I saw you're deliciously gathered skirt, I finally figured out how to attach the skirt for this dress recon I am working on! Cheesy  It was like a lightbulb went off in my head (hence the above "*lightbulb*" Tongue) and a giant "OH" formed on my lips. I'd been mentally struggling over it for days, but no matter how I pictured it, I just couldn't get it to look right. Not any more! Mwahahaha <evil scientist laughter> Yay gathered skirts!

Keep up the fantastic sewing!  Cheesy

Always happy to give someone a lightbulb moment!
Unfortunatly, I wasn't able to give her the costume today...we had to cancel our trip to the faire because I was put on bedrest for at least the week.  If I get the okay, hopefully we will go next weekend and I will post a pic with her wearing it.  She was soooo disappointed we couldn't go - she's been waiting for this for months.  I feel terrible!  Sad

Oh so sad!  Sad
Has she seen it yet? It's too pretty to not be worn.
Hope you get to feeling better. Soon!
