Here's a small standard messenger bag I made for a friend.  No pattern, just the dimensions and fabric that she wanted.  I have never done a button hole before so that was a challenge.  It seems as tough each time I make a purse I find something else that "I should do differently next time".  Let me know what you think.

Great bag, and extra kudos for getting the wales of the courderoy going in the same direction!   Grin

I stay away from directional fabric because I will ALWAYS get the stripes/pattern going every which way. It was the first thing I noticed on your bag. I.E., I'm jealous of your superior style skill ...   Wink
