I had some leftover black stretch velvet, but not quite enough to make a whole top.  No matter how I laid out the pieces, the best I could do was one sleeve short!  So I used some other scrap fabric to make the top half of the front, and made the sleeves 3/4, and I had enough.  I still haven't hemmed it.  I was thinking about using the contrasting fabric to make cuffs so the sleeves would be long enough but I might just leave it.

If anyone is interested, I used Butterick 3344 view C, but raised the neckline.  The neck isn't really lopsided, that's just how it's sitting on my dressform.

Very pretty!  I like the idea of contrasting cuffs.

Thank you both!  I decided to be lazy and just hem the sleeves, but I can always add that later if I want to.
