Dreaming in Turquoise: Mixed media Triptych

I made this lady for a monochromatic collaborative journal, my color to feature was turquoise! 



Background is 2 canvas panels, and a random scrap of board.  I gessoed them and painted a wash of 4 turquoisey colors, then painted the form in acrylics.  All the stripes are strips of paper: art, scrapbooking, cards, even a few paint chips.  Those were collaged on.  I finished her with a bit of watercolors and colored pencil.

The squares are canvas boards, 8".  The rectangle is a random scrap of wood (hubby salveged it when he worked for a cabinet maker last fall) it's almost 18" tall by 7 3/4" wide or so.  So, basically, it is about 18" square when set out.

I had to tinker a bit with her face, and fixed her.  Also, we got a NEW camera, so here is a much better close-up, and more accurate view of her true color!
