AUGH!

I like to make shrinkies with a polyclay frame and coat them in embossing powder to finish. This is a bit tricky but usually turns out OK. Well, today the embossing powder just outright burnt, and what I hoped might fix the problem turned out to be its total ruination. This means that the whole thing is wrecked at the final stage and I have to start over.

*headdesk*

I was on a happy high today and all.

PS. CeruleanEyes, my buggy avatar is called a gribble. He's microscopic and feeds on waterlogged wood. I think he's cute but I can see why you might not like him Wink Tongue

Talyra, your avatar is creepy!!  I can't stand looking at it!  LOL  I'm a big sissy when it comes to bugs.  Cheesy

I agree, but I'm getting used to looking at him. I think I see a face, with very long bushy eyebrows. Kind of like the bad guy in the animated movie of Swan Lake back in the late 80's/early 90's. Any of you remember him?

I have been doing "practice runs" for the last 4 days. Oh, gosh, I have a horrible antient stove (from the 80s is antient for a stove) with no front window on it. What is the joy of shrinky dinking if you cant see the wiggly shrinky action??? Is it harming the process if I peek? Undecided

I don't think so. I have a gas oven with no window either. I leave the plastic a good 3 minutes in the oven and I peek a couple of times. So far it's been ok. Although the plastic takes the texture of the paper underneath. Maybe it's because I peek too much...
