Undecided sigh,it shrank more and turned yellow because I had forgotten I had already sealed it with polyurethaine. I used sculpey. Oh well! Here we go again!

Maybe your shrinky wasn't totally shrunk? It can happen sometimes. When I'm "framing" a shrinky I tend to make sure that the "frame" edges overlap the edges of the shrinky by a few milimetres, just in case.

(Is a baked Shrinky a "shrunk"?)

My embossing powder went burnt yellow again but the design didn't bleed this time and it's given the thing a sort of old sepia look, which I actually quite like, so I've left it - hope Imagine is OK with it when it arrives. This is actually my first black and white shrinky so I wonder if it does this all the time and the bright colours I usually use mean I don't see the yellowing? Just gotta wait for the Fray Check on the knots to dry and I can send today Cheesy

Hurray! I like sepia tones, so don't worry!  Wink Mine is all ready to go in the oven but since I coloured it with markers, I'm gonna go get some of that acrylic spray so that the colours don't bleed all over the place. It's already started though... The colours bled in all the little fibers around the design... And every time I touch it, I get ink on my fingers...  Sad You should have seen my hands when I finished colouring it!  Cheesy

I finished everything up.  It is sealed and assembled.  Now I just have to go out and buy a padded envelope.   Oh and go to the post.  Can't wait to see everyone's creations!  Grin

So I finished my OTT this morning and sent this afternoon... and when I got back promptly got one of those lightbulb-over-the-head moments you really, really wish you'd had at the beginning of the swap.

Remember those microwaved/melted CD necklaces everyone was into a while back?

Yep. CD shards+shrinky fusion = shiny awesomeness. I'm a happy bunny. It's all I can do not to poke it and burn my fingers at the moment Grin

It sure does work! It melts slightly more quickly than the 'dinks, actually, but not so much so that it gets out of control. Here's some blatant self promotion if you want to see how it looks!
