i used a tutorial in the current issue of "beadwork magazine" for making beaded pillow beads.  the tutorial was very detailed and easy to follow.

finished size

the pillow bead is basically a flat peyote-stitch triangle.  you make two of them, add a square of felt in the middle, and zipper stitch them together.  its satisfyingly squishy when its done.  sorry for the photo quality, i couldnt get a close-up without it being blurry.

the bead wasnt too excessively time consuming, maybe about an hour total.  once you get the hang of one its really easy to repeat.  of course, the result is only one bead, so if you want a necklace full, youll need much more time!

thanks for looking!
