i am soo glad this turned out semi-decent.  the outer fabric is from a tablecloth my mom was throwing out and the rings are from another bag that i haven't used in forever.  and i put in a zipper!  this is my first in a tote so i was happy with it Smiley

the whole bag:

the beautiful zipper and lining:

Good job on the zipper! I have yet to master the dreaded bag with zipper.

I really like the bag. It has that kind of professional tweed look to it. Good job on saving the table cloth too!  Smiley

That looks like a great size for a laptop bag. Even the way you wrapped the handles around the body. Nice and sturdy.

this looks so great! in fact, our tablecloth looks dead-on like that one. i don't think my room mates would appreciate me swiping our table cloth though  Roll Eyes looks great!
