I've been hand piecing my blocks and the first one was not the right size (goes straight to the pile of blocks for myself Tongue) but the rest have been turning out the right size.

I agree with Deb on pressing each time too! Makes it look pretty in progress!

I tired rotary cutting but even though I double check my measurements over and over again, my cuts always end up a bit short! I don't know why! So I switched to template cutting which has been going well Smiley

Anyone wanna help a good cause and buy a sonography class cookbook so I can go to a seminar in September? They are $15 alone, and $20 with handmade potholders. PM me!

The other thing to remember is to press your pieces after each time you sew.  Makes all the differance in the world.

OK, block 3 is a success! I paid extra special care to the seam allowance and I think thats my problem. I compared block 3 to the 2 previous and its bigger on all sides exactly what I am short on the first two blocks. YAHOO! Now im off and running!

If you absolutely can not get a Pigma pen (in the scrapbooking or quilting sections) or a Sakura Jelly roll pen, then if it is ok with your partenrs, go ahead an embroider your siggy.

I need to ask a huge favor?

Can someone post a picture of a signed quilt block?  I just can't wrap my head around how it should be done, and I'm sure it's just a simple thing, but I want to make sure I'm doing it properly!

The last 3 blocks I did are pretty much right on. YAY! I wish the other 2 had been ok cause I would only have 1 left to make instead of 3. Oh well Roll Eyes

I have been chugging away trying to finish all of these blocks!  I have made 18.  Yep, 18.  Only 11 are exactly correct, so my pile is growing quite dramatically.  I am going out of town tomorrow until a week from this coming Tuesday so I won't be posting here more than likely.  I am not sure how my internet situation will be.  I may be able to post this weekend but then it depends on my dad trusting me with his laptop and the shoddy wifi we borrow from our neighbors at the beach.  Rest assured I will finish one more good block when I return and it will be out before the due date.
