I found this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=226651.0 and thought it was such a wonderful idea that I had to make my own for the hubby. I gave it to him for Valentine's Day (I know I am a slow poster!!)

I used chipboard cut to the shape of a deck of cards we got in Vegas on our honeymoon. I then covered the chipboard in different patterened papers and then used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in the chipboard covers and through all 52 cards. I then tied them together with matching ribbons and applied quotes to the front and back covers.

Hope you enjoy! And thanks to kaesea for the inspiration!

Wonderful job, and a very thoughtful project to be cherished, well, forever!

I made one for my hubby this past Valentine's Day, and shortly into the project realized what a lot of work it was going to be. It wasn't so much putting it together that was daunting, it was coming up with 52 different things to write, and I've been married almost 30 years! It was a great exercise in being reminded of why I married my man oh-those many years ago.

I used chipboard, too, and at first I wasn't happy that it sort of wrinkled up. As I began to decorate it, though, I really liked the way it took the paint, went in the grooves and made for a really cool effect.

BTW, the quote you used couldn't be more true, the little things really DO matter!
