I love this post, I bookmarked it ages ago, and regularly check back.  The tapemeasure brooches are so sweet.

This is a fantastic idea! I have loads of magazines just sitting around. I brought a few with me on this trip since hubby is busy in class all week & made a few. The pointy ones will take some practice, but the loops are super easy. Looking around at Hobby Lobby I saw loads of potential in the different brads they carry.

I think I'll go thrift shopping for more 'zines & use them to do a craft class for the ladies at church! Just have to find a few things to repurpose that can go UNDER the bows!!

Always on the lookout for ways to re-purpose items before sending them to the recycling center.

You were right to issue an addiction warning... I just had to try this and in my "trying it out" sat down and made 12 last night. I know what everyone's gifts will be decorated with this year! heheh Wink

This is a great idea! I used these recycled bows for my Christmas presents this year.

But instead of using the brad pin thing, I used needle and thread,

So, I saw this tutorial this morning, used it a hour later and gave the gift (with bow) by lunchtime. Just what I needed!

You have inspired me!  I have now found a present for mother's day: a box of homemade bows!  They've gotten homemade cards to use before, so why not homemade bows!  Love this!  Thanks for much for the tute!  Lunch break, here I come!
